Jardín Botánico de Cienfuegos This garden, said to be the oldest in Cuba, was started in 1901 by Edwin F. Atkins, a sugarcane businessman. Located 15 km from Cienfuegos, it covers over 230 acres. On a guided tour, you will visit only a section of the garden. Guides are knowledgeable and explains in detail about the wide variety of tropical plants that reside here.
