Fay-Ann shared with Mélange . . . About her "Break the World" album It's a project where I got to write all the songs, be part of the production and help structure the sound in terms of types of tracks that on it. The Album has all core based Soca songs with varied musical influences from zouk, to Afro beat, to hard core Soca, to world beat etc. About her feelings coming in at No 3 on the Billboard Reggae Chart It's a great feeling, the support has been astounding. We know Soca has no solid international platform and for us to be acknowledged as a music and embraced as a Caribbean it's awesome. We the Artiste have spent years working on our profession and when we get any progress in the right direction, it's considered a good day. About her greatest accomplishment so far My family. Holding a family in an industry that's filled with anything one can imagine, takes purpose. The musical accomplishments are awesome too. I've won song writer awards, multiple major titles in my country etc, but having my own family while doing it and seeing them comfortable and happy tops all. About being a health advocate and budding chef For me personally, true wealth is your health. We have millionaires that can’t use the money to cure themselves of their illnesses. To do any job successfully and enjoy it you need to be healthy. We spend years saving money while we are young and spend the same money saving our lives when we get old, because most times we were too busy to eat properly not because of lack of food. That’s why I love to cook. Besides it being a healthy option I get to eat what I want when I want, spend time with my family while I do it.....and experiment on them as well. About the people that motivate and inspire her I get inspiration from everyone and anyone I meet. I’ve met prisoners I had conversations with that showed me how easy it was to lose your way. I’ve met with a terminally ill cancer patient who spoke to me about his paintings and enjoying his life. I’ve spoken to kids with troubled households that eventually went on to get scholarships. We’ve done charity work and learned how single parents send their kids to school on a budget and help keep their grades up. Point is, I learn from any one with a message. About her favourite thing to do in her down-time Watch TV and go to the gym.
