Casual Night-Time Event
A casual event at night calls for dressier
clothing than you would wear sightseeing or
to the beach. A flowing blouse or dress with
long or short sleeves not only looks elegant,
it also keeps you warm during the cool
Caribbean nights. It’s always best though to
take along a cardigan or shawl to ensure you
can enjoy the romantic starry nights without
shivering. Gentlemen can opt for a lightly
tailored short sleeved linen or cotton shirt
or a nice polo shirt. While shorts are ok for a
casual setting it’s best to wear a pair of long
pants i.e. khakis and loafers. After all, you’re
on vacation in a tropical paradise. You don’t
know where you might end up.
Elegant Dinner-Time
Curaçao boasts some of the best cuisine
prepared by award winning chefs. A visit
to one of these classy restaurants is a Must.
Ladies can wear a classy cocktail dress and
heels while gentlemen can't go wrong with a
pair of khakis and a button-down shirt.
General Tips
* While Curaçao is known for its sunny climate, sudden downpours are

not uncommon. Bring along an umbrella or poncho for such instances.
* Curaçao is a more conservative island. Leave the bikinis, bathing
suit coverups and sarongs at the beach. Wear shorts, tops and dresses
when heading out elsewhere.
* Pack comfortable shoes that you have worn before and that you can
walk pleasantly in.
* Remember to always apply sunscreen, even on cloudy days. Nothing
puts a damper on your vacation than a bad sunburn.
* While black is an elegant colour here in the Caribbean it will act as
a magnet for mosquitos and sunrays. Stick to light colours in natural
fabrics.
