Fortaleza de San Carlos de
la Cabaña
This fort was built after Havana was captured
by the British in 1792 and is the largest fort
in the Americas covering 10 hectares. It was
once used as a prison, a storage facility and
the headquarters of Che’ Guevara. It has since
been restored and today houses museums,
souvenir shops, cultural events and book fairs.

Cayo Coco
This is an island in central Cuba known for its
white sandy beaches and all-inclusive resorts.
Diving is also a major attraction. With 15 different
dive sites, you’ll find divers here from all over the
world. If you like bird-watching, there are over
200 of species of birds here including a colony of
over 30, 000 pink flamingos. Cayo Coco has water
and land excursions for everyone.

Santa Clara
Lovely beaches, culture and history - that’s
Santa Clara. Cigars, museums, locals and
tourists strolling idlly along the historic
streets. A statue of Che Guevera overlooking
the main square, rock festivals, pageants,
orchestras. Lots to see and do - simply
charming!
