The Bubbly Pool
Simply put, this is a special gift from nature -
a natural jacuzzi. Such a lovely, invigorating
experience and one the whole family can
enjoy. Located at the eastern tip of Jost
Van Dyke, this bubbly geological wonder is
accessed via a trail which takes you through
the bushes and past a salt pond to the pool.
Although fun, you should excercise caution
as the surrounding rocks have been known
to break off and cause injury, some of which
have been fatal.

North Shore Shell Museum
You’ll find this museum in Carrot Bay. Shells
of every type and description are surrounded
by sayings and quotes painted on pieces
of board strategically placed throughout
the eclectic display area, amid lots of other
interesting items collected over time by the
owner, Egbert. This is not your traditional
museum but it comes highly recommended,
as a visit there is surely a charming, authentic
experience.

Wreck of the Chikuzen
The Chikuzen was a Korean vessel which sunk
12 miles northwest of Virgin Gorda. Belonging
to St. Maarten, it was intentionally set ablaze
during a hurricane in 1981 to protect the dock
and prevent damage to the island’s harbour.
It drifted over to the BVI, threatening Marina
Cay but tugs were able to pull the ship away
from the islands and it eventually sank. Now, it
sits beneath 75 feet of water and is home to a
spectacular array of marine life.
