Leadership Advisory Boards are diverse groups of volunteers who are responsible for the overall Extension programs in their counties. They provide the vision and long-term planning for Extension activities, serve as advocates for the county program, help interpret the program throughout the county, and help develop resources to support Extension programs.
The local Leadership Advisory Board would like to introduce its newest members: Kim Beckett, Linda Branch, Yatish Jakatimath, Hector Pruneda, and Isabel Pruneda.
Kim is an attorney and institutional trading operations consultant with a desire to learn more about Extension and its many programs. Linda is a social worker and volunteer coordinator for Good Shepherd Hospice and has served as an organizational leadership and development consultant as well as faculty for DeVry University. She is new to San Antonio and hopes to connect with the community through Extension. Yatish is an engineer and a department manager with Terracon Consultants with a desire to bridge the gap between agriculture, nutrition, and health for today's urban youth. Hector is a district conservationist for the United States Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service and strong community advocate for agriculture. Isabel is a retired federal parole officer and lifelong 4-H parent and volunteer.
We welcome each one and can't wait to learn all they have to teach us! To learn more about Leadership Advisory Boards, read Volunteer Administration in the 21st Century.
