What is a Nervous System and How Does it Work?
In Health Science, the nervous system is an extremely complex and essential part of any human
and animal body that synchronizes our bodily activities by transferring signals to and from the
different parts of our body, mainly our mind. Also, it is the nervous system that identifies
environmental changes that affect our body, then act on our mind by delivering signals to fight
such affecting elements. This entire nervous system has two parts which are mentioned below.
The Central Nervous System: It coordinates our Mind and Spinal Cord.
The Peripheral Nervous System: It included the rest of the nerves in the body, including
somatic and autonomic nervous system function.
