My first Magazine | Page 8

I could happily fill pages with images I have taken, but I am not very good at talking about myself! The wonderful variety of events I have covered has taken me from Buckingham Palace where I took photos of Prince Phillip to the humble playgrounds of Vrygrond, a township in Cape Town, where we do pro bono work for two schools.

I have been a photographer for 22 years. I love new and exciting challenges. I am as happy taking images standing on a roof or ladder as I am on stage with dignitaries at presentations or clients at a function.

I work 24/7 and I am at my happiest when I am behind my lens. I love what Henri-Cartier-Bresson said "your first 10 00 photographs are your worst" ... so I am constantly pushing myself to see situations from different angles in order to get the best shot. It is what separates 'happy snapers' from photographers; the creating of images not just snapping them. I look forward to every shoot, always anticipating my best shot will come from my next shoot. It usually does - until the next one...
