Past Parent Reunion: MargaritaVilla Redux!

Villabration 2018
On Saturday, March 24, Villa parents and friends
braved ice, snow, and dire weather forecasts to bask in
the warmth of 2018 Villabration’s MargaritaVilla on
the Villa’s campus. Villabration raised over $230,000
through Silent and Live Auctions and other fun activities
like Villa Family Cellars fine wine pours, “Fins to the
Left, Fins to the Right” Live Auction kick-off, and a very
special Special Appeal. The Live Auction was introduced
by Honorary Chairs Becky (’87) and Dan Scullin, whose
youngest child Joe heads to high school in the fall: “It’s
hard to believe that this is our final year as St. Ursula
Villa parents. Ten years ago, our decision to send our
children to the Villa was not taken lightly, given the
many school choices in Cincinnati. It turns out that the
Villa was the best decision we could have made for our
children and for ourselves.”
For over forty years, the Villa’s annual auction has been
a favorite tradition for parents as both “the party of the
year” and as a crucial fundraiser to help sustain the
Villa’s outstanding programs. This year, the Villabration
committee answered the question, “Why can’t past
parents join the fun?” Thus was born the Villa’s first-ever
Villabration Past Parent Reunion “Sign-Up Party.” On
April 21, scores of past parents arrived on the shores of
St. Ursula Villa to re-connect and re-live wonderful Villa
memories with “no asks, no agenda” but simply to honor the
many outrageously fun MargaritaVilla parties from years
past and to remember why the Villa remains so near and
dear to so many.
The Villa is grateful to our two Event Sponsors: Home
