Changing
to Serve
A freeze frame of the public exercising in the community
A senior’s perception of a senior
A common refrain from all participants was that:
They want to be engaged in something
in their later years.
Be it games, music, gardening or craft, both young
and older participants want to stay connected to
others and have something meaningful to while
away their time. This applies whether or not one
lives in a nursing home and which they feel is key to
staying happy.
The show-dialogues were conducted with the
kind help of Ms Chang Mei Yee, a senior lecturer
in Applied Drama and Psychology at Singapore
Polytechnic and Zam, a graduate of her
programme.
