I was afraid of the unknown . 3 . 23 years . My first job wasn ' t teaching . Now my exstudent Lorena is a teacher here .
4 . Yes , but it is becoming harder because of parents ' expectations and new generations of students are more demanding .
5 . I had a great biology teacher in secondary school and I looked up to him . He used to say :“ I can ' t force you to listen to me , but I can make you hear me .“ 6 . I would think about it . 7 . Maths . 8 . First grade is the hardest to teach because children are not prepared so I have to teaach them discipline . They are very sensitive and not informed , everything is new to them . Third grade is the best to teach because they are more interested in school subjects .
9 . Yes , a lot has changed . The method of playing games , for example , is very good , but not before they learn the facts . Children used to learn more at school and nowadays there is too much unnecessary information . Teachers are not allowed to punish bad behaviour ( f . e . lying or making fun of people who are trying to do their best ).
10 . When I retire , I will travel , read and devote myself to hobbies . There will be new opportunities so I wouldn ' t miss school .
Mrs Sanja Ščurić-Horvat ( right ), teaching 4 . a
Ms Lidija Krajcar ( down left ) – now teaching class 3 . b
1 . On 1st September 1983 . 2 . Of course , it was 4th grade with 36 pupils ( after their teacher moved to another town ). 3 . Since the begining of my career . The school had a different name then ( Pali borci NOB-a ).

5 . Maybe my first teacher is “ guilty “ for my choice . She was my role model . And I can understand both children and parents because I am a mother of the three grown up ones .
6 . I always wanted to be a teacher . I like working with children . This is not a job , but a vocation .
7 . Second grade is the easiest and fourth is the most interesting .
8 . Probably the first grade – new children , new generation , new challenge .
9 . Yes , the methods have changed . Before we used to teach ex-cathedra – the teacher sitting or standing in front of the class and now teaching must be dynamic and interesting .
10 . To retire peacefully with a lot of memories . And I will surely miss my pupils . I will be creative – growing flowers and vegetables and reading .
