TECHNIQUES AND METHODOLOGY OF ADAPTATION PROBLEM AND SCHOOL FEAR Examples from the process Example 4 - France CLASSES OUTDOORS There are 3 main objectives: To discover different landscapes – the coast (visit a marina, a beach, an island), the country (visit of the country, walking, visit of a farm). To give meaning to the learning process: fishing, creating boats... To discover the life of animals in a farm, gardening. To develop autonomy, mutual assistance and cooperation between children «Good collective life » An outdoors class aims to contribute to the development and learning of children autonomy. It has a strong pedagogical interest because it is well organized by the schools themselves with various themes: sea, mountain, countryside… It also allows children to discover a new way of living, new places, and enter into new relationships with school friends and teachers. Often it gives the opportunity to some students to leave their usual environment, to experiment with new things, and sometimes to do tasks in which the children do not necessarily participate in their home, in particular, to rid the table, to put away their own business, etc. 46
