TRADITIONAL GAMES
Examples of games
Example of game 11- Bulgaria
Game "Draw your fear"/ art therapy /
The teacher shows the children rectangular cards divided
into three squares next to each other. Stylized expressions
of different emotions are drawn on the two end squares.
Children have to draw in the middle square an expression
that is appropriate according to them. Every child also has
to tell the reason for the change of the mood of the child on
the drawing.
Children usually indicate the object or phenomenon which
they fear. Every child always sees him/herself in the drawn
face and thus gives feedback to the teacher about his/her
concerns, worries and fears. For example, the child says
"This is me crying because a bee has stung me. Then
Mom has hugged me and calmed me down, and finally I
have smiled ".
After conducting the art therapy for a period of 2 weeks,
the children that had previously had a high level of anxiety
have managed almost completely to release their fears.
They have ritually torn their fearful drawings and
scattered the drawings to the wind.
So, the former fearful children draw on their pictures
scary figures only of small size and themselves as very big
characters and use only bright colors. Dark, cold colors are
almost not used.
Example of game 12 - Bulgaria
Game "Hello, what a wonderful day!"
It is a musical motion game that aims to create a
community of friendly children. Children are arranged
in a circle facing each other in pairs. First they shake
hands. Then they turn around with hands raised up.
They wave "goodbye" and change partner taking one
step aside. The game can be repeated until children
take interest in it, e.g. 7-8 times.
Lyrics
Hello, what a wonderful day! Glad to see you!
Come dance with me. Tara-ra-ra-ra-ra
Give me your friendly hands
From the heart, from the heart! Goodbye! Have a nice
day!
All the children really enjoyed playing the game, as it
is very pleasant for them to sing and dance.
Through playing this game, children manage to make
a friendly community in the group.
