RULE OF THE GAME

HANDKERCHIEF CATCHING Number of players in the game : 9 -16 players The children are equally divided into two groups . The equal two groups of children form a line facing one another . An '' it '' is chosen by counting . The '' it '' who has the handkerchief , stands in the middle of two groups . With the '' start '' command of the '' it '' , players from two groups run to take the handkerchief . The player who took the handkerchief , tries to get back to his / her group without getting caught . The player who couldn ' t take the handkerchief is eliminated . If the player who took the handkerchief gets caught , he / she will be eliminated . The group which has the most players at the end of the game wins .
The game can be played indoors or outdoors and it lasts 15-20 minutes . All of the players of the game form a circle holding each other ' s hand and facing inward . The players begin to turn and singing the song of the game . '' Box-o-box-o pliers , my friend Ay�e should turn back '' The player ' s name is told . If he / she is asked to turn , the player whose name is told , turns back . When all of the players turn back the part where players turn back ends and a second part where players turn their front begins . The song of the second part is '' My friend Ay�e should turn her front ''. When all of the players turn their front , the game ends and it is repeated if players want to play again .

The game drew the attention of pupils . All of the pupils participated in the game willingly . During the game pupils and teacher had a great time . A proper environment is provided for children to meet and befriend each other . Since the game is a mobile one , it contributed to their psychomotor development and enabled them to spend their energy positively . In accordance with the purpose the intended and planned achievements are gained .
The children showed an interest in the game participated in the game actively . During the game the teacher and pupils had a good time . This game enabled the children to develop their abilities such as taking common actions , waiting for their turn and behaving according to the words . Since the game is mobile , the children relaxed and spent their energies . Their small and large muscle developments are supported .
