Y., age 3
Yann waited until December to separate from his parents
(his mother) and enter the school with a smile; In January
there was a turn back but from February he enters with a
smile and says "hello".
In class it is also in December that he began to want to
participate in activities (but not all); He remained in
observation or watched books.
From January, Yann began to have fun with comrades in
the yard.
He only comes to school in the morning because his mom
does not want him to sleep in the dorm.
It is the mother who accompanies Yann to the school; She
accepted the separation and at the beginning of the year
she explained to him that now he had to come to the school
and she left him even if he cried a lot; She was reassured by
saying that he was weeping less and less in the classroom
and in the court.
Yann was very anxious and afraid of school: there is a lot of
noise, a lot of children, you have to share, some children
jostle him ... The teacher has accepted that he remains in
observation, has reassured and Little by little, he
accompanied him to the activities he is happy to do now. A
middle-aged student helped him dress, walked with him in
the courtyard. L., age 2,8
School start has been very difficult : she was very anxious.
She was recluse, she did not manage to play with the others
but went towards them.
She caught toys and books off her friends hands.
She was often shouting and crying.
In September, she only spoke a little but she made large
progress in language from January ; she had difficulties to
be understood.
Lea did not go to the school in December. Holiday return
was very difficult : she cried as soon as she did not see an
adult.
There were several meetings with the parents and the
school psychologist came into the class to observe her; she
saw socialization and understanding problems.
Earing and visual tests were necessary.
The others pupils took care of her as a baby. Little by little
she adapted to school life and activities
