To make the game interesting and enjoyable, two semifinals were scheduled of 10 overs each and the final was to be played as a 12 overs game. The distance between the wickets was reduced to 18 yards and the bowlers were allowed to bowl in any way they preferred—under arm, plain throw, wild throw, etc. residents who emerged as the real winners as they enjoyed the day thoroughly. With a full house participation from the ladies, and their all-round performances, it was a truly high spirited day for all. MATCH DAY: The Chief Guest for the inauguration was Mrs. Sunita Joshi (Patron, Shakti-Ladies Club, HPNE), who was later joined by another sports enthusiast and a well-known cricketer of HP Nagar East, Director Finance, Shri J Ramaswamy. Family members of the participants too marked their presence and cheered. AN EVENT TO REMEMBER: It was a memorable day for all residents. Not only due to the great show put up by the players but also due to the support of the cheering families, impeccable arrangements by the Club Committee members, interesting commentary, volunteers’ hard work, and above all, the enthusiastic Chief Guest who encouraged the players throughout the tournament.
