My Fertility Specialist Magazine November-January 2017 | Page 3

NEW in My Fertility Specialist magazine Editor and founder Sheila Lamb Welcome A year comes round so quickly! Already it’s National Fertility Awareness Week (NFAW) here in the UK, 31st October to 6th November, and as usual there is a lot of support and awareness being created for all those who find themselves on this roller-coaster journey. And we at My Fertility Specialist are doing our bit! Welcome to all our new subscribers and THANK YOU for subscribing because you will also be helping other people in the same situation as yourselves, as we are donating part of your subscription to the NFAW. We decided to do something special for this issue, not only for NFAW but because it occurred to me, whilst putting the previous issue together, that there are 12 weeks between each issue, and it is believed that it takes 12 weeks to improve the quality of both egg and sperm. So this issue is full of fertility experts sharing their plans and programmes that help women like you the world over, to not only get pregnant but to also deliver a healthy baby. We have meditation, massage, coaching, hypnosis, reflexology, yoga and nutrition – to name a few. As I read these articles it occurred to me just how much amazing help there is available – and it’s all natural, so whether you are trying naturally or are going down the route of fertility treatment, all these experts are available to you. We mustn’t forget Christmas though – one of the hardest times of the year when you are still not sharing it with your longed for baby. Rachel Campbell kindly offered to share her experience of surviving and thriving the Christmas season, so do read through to the end of the magazine to read her words of wisdom. If you are looking for a Christmas present for yourself (and why not!), be sure to check out the two books in the Editors Review on page 7 – a fertility cook book and the story (drawn from the Author’s own experience of IVF) of a couple dealing with the rollercoaster journey of infertility. As the end of this year is drawing near I just want to say I’m so sorry if so far this hasn’t been the year that you welcomed your longed for baby. You are all very special, strong, amazing and courageous people and I send you big hugs and the best of luck for 2017. Wishing baby dust to you all.
