Have you ever wondered who were the teachers who teaches our classes every week? Some of them have been here for so long that it is a big deal when they leave us. It is like a library of knowledge walking away.

On the evening of Friday 20th August, that was what happened.

After service of whopping 22 years, we watched as club Life member Margot Stretch announced her retirement from the club.

Margot has been in this club longer than most of the students have lived. Committee and recent members knew her as their Bronze Latin teacher.

Within the club's history, she has taught everything from ballroom dancing, to Street Latin, Merengue and Lambada. Within that time, she has done almost everything, from handing flyers during orientation week and helping committee run events.

Not to mention, Margot helped altered the pants for free for many an enthusiastic student (credits to Ben Ho). She has also helped many a poor but committed uni student reach their dance medals by partnering other students(credits to Andrew Atkins).

Margot has been here for 22 years, watching us stumble our very first steps into our journeys as dancers. It was quite deservedly that she was made a Life Member in 2015. On behalf of the club, past and present committee, I wish to leave her a note in this magazine for her little and large contributions which have helped shaped the club as it is today.
