3M CHALLENGE
The 3M Challenge invites Chicagoans to embark on expeditions across five
Chicago community areas.
In each neighborhood, we’ve pre-selected a beloved, locally-owned, hidden
gem business. Visit each site and take a picture of yourself wearing 3M
apparel in front of the business, hashtag #3mchallenge, to earn social
capital (points). Each site you visit increases your social capital. Visit 8 of 8
locations and receive a 3M T-shirt of your choice.
User Experience
1. Gear Up: Player purchases 3M apparel at www.mbmhmc.com.
2. Explore: Players select a destination from the list below.
3. Discover: Players identify the pre-selected business in the community.
4. Embark: Players add the destination to their calendar or to-do list.
5. Share: Players share where they are headed on social media.
6. Arrive: Players arrive and take picture to validate their location and earn
social capital.
7. WIN: Visit 8 of 8 destinations and win 3M T-shirt.
