On Facebook I was able to
interveiw my cousin, Russell Lleras
on November 29. He is the lead singer/songwrighter of his band Thrax in Logan, Utah. I asked Russell question after question and got the answers I was looking for. I asked of what genre is Thrax based on? and my reply was short and to the point. 'The band would be classified under Metal, but I would think it's more of a Metal Core kind of band.' See short and to the point. I then asked of how many members are in the band? Then my reply was 'There are four at the moment but most of the time there are five.' To go with the flow of the band members I asked if the members were friends or are they people who had responded to his adds that where placed. 'All were friends except the drummer.' I then asked the question that alot of people who are wanting to create their own band. How did you get your first gig? 'I'm friends with almost every of the "big" local metal bands in Utah and here we're really big on supporting each other.' I like that answer. I then asked if people could find their music on Youtube, itunes, etc...? 'Not yet but we’re in the process in recording a fifteen song album.' Finally I asked if he had any advice for people wanting to start a band. 'Be nice to everyone, be open minded, keep trying, do what you love, if you want people to enjoy your shows, you have to enjoy them too.'
