Team Spirit, Hit the Lights and Motion City sound track created memories this on January 19 in Columbus, OH. Energetic as ever the band danced and played very fluidly. Stopping only in-between songs to talk about Jeff Goldblum in the movie The Fly, leaving the crowd slightly confused but interested enough to continue paying attention. The band members were air-tight in their playing and the crowd took to them extremely well, leaving on an energetic high note leading into the next band. Hit the Lights took the high note left upon by Team Spirit and took it to the next level of excitement. Playing popular hits such as Body Bag, Stay Out and Save Your Breath and more! the crowd was hooked from the very first song. With band members Nick running around and Omar head banging with his afro the crowd was jumping around with them too. A slight hiccup in the middle of the set with a broken string lead singer, Nick Thompson into an impromptu version solo version of the hidden track “Her Eyes Say Yes” finishing out as a full band the crowd was singing along the entire song. When ending on their most popular song “Body Bag” they were a surefire for excitement and fun. They showed that despite the band being around for a bit, they were still true to their roots and not much had changed.
