As Lil Jon’s infamous “Turn Down For What!?” filled the venue to introduce Chase Rice out onto the stage and get the crowd pumped up as Chase Rice entered the stage to his song “Do It Like This” as the crowd erupts into screams. Chase’s energy level is turned all the way up as soon as he steps foot on stage. Instead of simply singing his songs, Chase involved the entire audience throughout the show. He pulled up a girl up onto the stage who he said he has seen at every show he's played in Philadelphia to sing her the SoMo song “Ride”, making her blush and the audience cheer. During the 90+ minute set, he delivered several songs from his new album such as “How She Rolls,” “Fifty Shades of Crazy,” “Carolina Can,” “We Goin’ Out,” and new single “Gonna Wanna Tonight.” Keeping things fresh & unique, Chase mixed things up as well and included some old school songs such as “All The Small Things” “Country Grammer,” “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Friends In Low Places” and more! There was not one minute during his set that he wasn't interacting with the fans nor was there one minute where the fans weren't engaged in song and dance throughout his set, He kept them on their feet singing and dancing the night away. Chase’s bandmates Brandon Autry on Lead Guitar, Marcelo Bakos on Bass, Jeremy Roberson on Drums, & last but not least Derrick Royer on guitar. Chase’s bandmate equally as active and energized to the fullest on stage joking around with each other. Later on in the show he split the crowd in half and along with the help of his band put on a little contest of which side of the room could sing louder. He showed genuine excitement when the crowd got engaged and sang along with him. Rice explained that he moved to Nashville planning to be a songwriter, not a performer. Luckily something changed that plan because Chase has the confidence to command the attention of the entire room in a very captivating way. He shared a touching moment with the audience when he performed his song “Jack Daniels and Jesus”. The song is about a time in Chase Rice’s life when was struggling and felt lost after suffering the loss of his father. He explained to the audience that this is his favorite song he has ever written because it came from a place of complete honesty and vulnerability. His band stepped away and allowed Chase to perform the song with just his acoustic guitar, exactly how he had written it which was completely flawless. Chase left the stage without playing his hit single “Ready Set Roll”, so when he came back out for the encore, everyone was expecting him to play the song. Many in the crowd were surprised to learn that Chase Rice’s biggest song he has written is not in fact “Ready Set Roll”, but “Cruise” recorded by Florida Georgia Line but co-written by Chase. Chase then sang both songs for his encore set and the crowd went nuts singing along to every word of both hits. Chase has only been on the country music scene for a handful of years and has already written huge hits that are changing the sound of country music. It is clear that he has quite a future ahead of him.

This being the final night of tour it just wouldn't be right to not have some sort of tour prank on Chase, During his performance of “Cruise” Santa and an elf helper came out onto the stage and sprayed what appeared to be whipped cream all over Chase, the stage, & his bandmates but it did not bother Chase at all as he just laughed and continued singing without missing a beat! I haven't been to many Country shows but out of the few I have been to I could definitely say his is one of the most unique country shows I have ever been to. Chase clearly puts in the effort to make his shows memorable and enjoyable for everyone in attendance. The show Chase Rice puts on in my opinion is much deserving of a much bigger stage. Currently selling out venues with a 1k capacity, I can see a very bright future for Chase Rice, who has the ability and talent to sell out arenas very soon!
