OSLO WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL Oslo World Music Festival began in 1994 under the name “Verden i Norden” and was a collaboration between the Nordic countries. The other countries quickly faded out, while the festival in Oslo grew. In 2002 it was therefore renamed the “Oslo World Music Festival”. This year is the festival's 20th edition. The festival's goal has always been to present music from all over the world, with a primary focus on Asia, Africa and Latin America. With a view that this will create interest and understanding of the values that are inherent in the cultural expressions of others. Oslo festival focuses on presenting music from great cities all over the world.
