Music served as a channel for informing, impacting moral values and citizenship education without obvious vulgarity as experienced in recent times. Music was experienced and not just heard, everybody knew the dance steps to a particular style of music/album and was generous enough to put it on display whenever the occasion demanded. Musical performance/concerts had a place and time and was not based on huge brand marketing sponsorships as experienced recently, this in turn allowed for development of huge devoted fan base who followed the music through its evolution. Music consumers bought music in its various forms at that point in time across the city of Lagos. They paid for music cassettes, LP's and even performance. The pattern of music production and consumption was predictable in this era and was so till early 90's. Despite this changes in producer/ consumer behavior, Lagos hasn't changed its role as home for these Hopefuls and
