Mutual Trading Japanese Food & Restaurant Expo is the largest
showcase of Japanese food, alcohol beverage and restaurant
supplies and is the principal meeting place for food-service
professionals and suppliers. Hosted annually in Los Angeles, and
in New York, the expo attract thousands of food retailers, foodservice business owners, trade professionals and chefs.
The Seminar for Sake and Shochu will run from 11am to 1:30pm
and include seminars from noted sake experts:
“Shaking it up with Shochu” presented by Jaymee Mandeville,
Senior Portfolio Ambassador, Baccardi USA
“Selling Sake in America” presented by, Bob Bath MS, Professor of
Wine & Beverage Studies, The Culinary Institute of America
“Sake: Mainstreaming Consumption” presented by Antony Moss
MW, Director of Strategic Planning, Wine and Spirit Education Trust
(WSET).

SAKE FEST
THE WINE HOUSE, LOS ANGELES
SUNDAY 2ND OCTOBER, 1PM - 4:30PM
Master of Wine Anthony Moss and Master of Sake Toshio Ueno
will be presenting a seated Sake Seminar that will include a
presentation about sake in general, and the current releases in
particular. Participants will enjoy a curated tasting of 18 sake from
9 different breweries. The presenters, along with each brewery’s
representative, will offer an in-depth look at origin, type/style and
take questions from the participants.
We will then break for 30 minutes, re-set the room and enjoy 30
sake in the traditional Fest manner sampling the current release
of sake poured by representatives – including many brewers and
assistant brewers. The brewers will be on hand to pour and answer
questions about their sake.
