you react to these kind of
appreciations as it is not
your song and you have just
sung it.
Vandana: I have done
a lot of cover projects on
YouTube when I started
out in 2011, it was mostly
on Soundcloud and then
I moved to YouTube and
I use both platforms fairly
often. As you said you don’t
have to worry about that
you are taking somebody
else’s appreciations
because we are putting out
something you have worked
on. It isn’t an original
composition, we mention
that clearly but any kind
of love and feedback, we
welcome it as I think it
is a good starting point.
We have to do original
compositions but this is a
good place to start because
if you’re not sure on putting
your work out there if you
are feeling a bit shy or
scared. You can test with
these things, it isn’t right to
claim ownership of those
obviously and nobody is
doing that, we tell that its
not our original work its
somebody else’s. But it feels
great when you get lots of
compliments and feedback,
sometimes you have lot of
ideas where you want to
present a song in a different
way and you can rearrange
it and you can even work
the classics and we quite
enjoyed the appreciations

that comes away. There
are people who don’t like
it when you mess with
classics. We just want to put
some music and we try and
do that.
