When did you get your first break in the recording studio ?
In the year 2000 , I was lucky to get a chance to sing for A . R . Rahman sir for the film Thenali which was a Kamal sir starer . As the movie had a small girl who starts singing this song “ Aalangatti Mazhai ” I got a chance to sing the first two lines in that song . That recording is still vividly in my mind as I was recorded by the Maestro himself at his recording studio .
After that , my first film song as an adult was for the movie “ Konjam Kadal Konjam Coffee ”. The music direction for this film was by Phani Kalyan . He was a student of KM Music Conservatory , that movie did not get released regardless it was a brilliant song . Followed by that I sang a song for the Malayalam Movie “ The Train ” the music director for the movie
