ranks of Canadian
bodybuilding has been
an adventure filled
with peaks, valleys
and the raw instinct
to survive. His story
began in Liberia dur-
ing the country’s civil
war, where he and his
brother amazingly
escaped the city lim-
its while hundreds of
thousand of civilians
perished. For three
days the duo followed
other countrymen
over mountains, harsh
terrain, swamps and
thick bush with no ac-
cess to water and only
sugar cane to eat.
The only fluid to quench their thirst
came from the water dripping off the
jagged rocks on Mount Nimba. Eventu-
ally they found their way to the Danane
refugee camp on the Ivory Coast. While
Adolphus’ father stayed in Liberia saving
lives as a fireman, Adolph lived in the
refugee camp with his brothers, sister
and mother for almost nine years. During
that time Adolphus learned of his father’s
death. Today all of his fears and anger
have fueled his motivation to become
the best. He is driven to win. In 2017 he
received his IFBB Pro card after finish-
ing first place in the light heavyweight
division and second overall at the CBBF
Canadian Nationals. He recently placed
5th in the 2018 Toronto Pro Supershow.
