their range of different properties,”
explains Jamie. “Muscle cells
share many different properties:
Contractility, extensibility,
elasticity and excitability. The
DRM method focuses primarily
on increasing muscle excitability,
which is essentially the ability of
a muscle fibre to respond rapidly
to a stimulating agent.
“Due to the DRM’s rest pause
principle and short rest periods, the
increase in this muscle excitability
helps to increase muscle growth by
recruiting more ATP.
“More ATP (the energy source
for our muscles), causes greater fat
oxidation (superhuman shredz).”
DOUBLE REP METHOD - LEGS
Method
l 8 Rep Max Weight on the Bar/Machine and hit that weight for the set
l Rest for 5-10 seconds then using Rest/Pause continue until you have hit another 16 reps
l Total Reps for Set = 24
l Total Sets Per Exercise = 3
LEG WORKOUT
Warm Up - Box Jumps - 3x 15 Reps (Use 18”-24” Box)
Warm Up - Barbell Squats - 4 Sets of 12 Reps (use light weight slowly
increasing till you hit your 8 rep max)
e.g:. SET 1 40kg
SET 2 60kg
SET 3 80kg
SET 4 100kg
Exercise 1 - Barbell Squats - 3 Sets of 8/16 DRM with 2-3 Mins
Rest Between Each Set
Exercise 2 - Leg Press - 3 Sets of 8/16 DRM with 2-3 Mins
Rest Between Each Set
Exercise 3 - Jump Squats - 3 Sets of 12 Reps with 1 Minute
Rest Between Each Set
Exercise 4 - Walking Lunges - 10 Paces up 10 Paces Back -
1 Minute Rest Between each set.
Cool Down - Stretching and Foam Rolling - 5 mins
So why does the DRM
work so well?
“Many people struggle to build

muscle because they fail to put
enough volume through the muscle
and take the muscle cells through
The cardio part
“Now that I’m happy with my
physique again, I seldom do
cardio aside from brisk walking,”
confesses Jamie. “However, make
no mistake about it, whilst I was
shredding I hit that treadmill hard.
For the most part, I wanted to feel
as if I was doing something intense.
I wanted to earn that fat loss and
muscle gain with every step and
every rep.”
On completing his fat loss journey,
Jamie continued to employ the
DRM method and sustained
a lean, muscular physique that
inspires tens of thousands of people
every single day.
“I’m not superhuman, of course
I’m not,” he laughs. “But with a
superhuman mindset you truly can
achieve anything,” he says. “The best
thing about the DRM method is that
if you don’t have that mindset, you’ll
never see it through, not even for
one session.”
Jamie has one last piece
of advice for aspiring lean
machines
“The real key to shredded success,
is not to be a superhuman, but to be
a lobster!”
