and get a workout in when I have
a spare hour or two.”
So what are Martyn’s goals
for the future?
“I am so fortunate to be in this
position and I approach every day
with modesty,” he says. “I realise that
if I don’t consistently give 100%, it
could all be taken away from me in
an instant.”
“My goal in the fitness industry is to
create a brand that inspires, motivates
and helps to create champions.”
“I have made some amazing friends
in the industry and I believe life is
what you make of it.” “We get one
chance and if we seize the opportunity
dreams really can come true!”
MARTYN’S DIET
WHILST ON SET
“When I’m on set my diet is mainly
chicken and a packet of rice with
salad,” Martyn says. “I tend to
travel with my George Foreman to
make my own food when I need
it. Salad is always at hand, as are
boiled eggs from the canteen.”
MARTYN’S HOME DIET
“If I’m at home, I like to mix my proteins a lot more,” he says.
“I enjoy salmon, white fish, steak, chicken and eggs every day.
I keep my carbs mixed too, and have a lot of oats, brown rice
and sweet potato. There’s always lots of salad and veg
involved as well.
“I don’t measure my food, but I do try to eat every two hours and
I always eat clean. Measuring food with my lifestyle would just be
too difficult. I’m on the run 24/7 and on a plane almost every week.
For me, I find just eating sensibly is the best option.”
Martyn says he’s starting to feel accomplished, having truly
conquered Hollywood.
“Hollywood is a dream for me,” he says. “I love this industry
and I’ve had an amazing few years. I feel I have now earned my
respect as an actor, and the film roles continue to come in thick
and fast, with lots more planned for the year ahead.”
With a move to the US planned this summer, Martyn has wider
business goals at stake too.
“I recently became a part of 5% Nutrition,” he reveals. “It’s an
amazing company and I am honoured to be able to share in it.
Due to the tragic passing of Rich Piana, I have been handed an
opportunity to step up and make my own mark in the fitness
industry. This is an opportunity I will always be very grateful for.”
