A MESSAGE FROM THE ORGANISERS
Welcome to Rustenburg!
The Mining and Technical Exhibitions (MTE) team will hit the road once
again to visit Rustenburg on 8 June 2017. The town is situated in North
West Province, and is one of the oldest towns in the country.
The town is also referred to as the platinum city because of
the platinum mines surrounding the town. In South Africa,
platinum was discovered during the 1920s by Hans Merensky.
Two of the world’s biggest platinum mines are found in
Rustenburg. Mine operations at the mine vary from open-cast
to underground mining, as well milling, flotation, drying and
smelting among others.
Expected visitors for this show include Sibanye platinum mines,
Impala platinum mines, smaller chrome mines as well as the
processing operations to go with it. Exhibitors from automation,
fall of ground management, track maintenance and fatigue
management will be at the show to showcase their latest
products and services. These are just a handful of visitors and
exhibitors as there will be many more at the show. So, don’t miss
out and be sure to be there!
For those who are not familiar with MTE, this travelling exhibition
company has been running for over two decades, providing
a unique platform for suppliers of top-of-the-line mining and
industrial equipment to showcase their goods to a community
hungry for latest technology, services and information – right on
its doorstep.
We trust the expo will be a rewarding experience – whether
