FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic (Magaliesberg)
The famous “Monster” in the Magaliesberg – a
steep 9km slope for which the race is named – was
formed two billion years ago when molten magma
from the earth’s core welled up and created a
depression in the centre of an ancient seabed,
thrusting the rock edges upwards. Riders who take
part in this race (15km, 33km or 65km) will enjoy
spectacular surrounds, technical trails and serious
challenges, including the “Monster”.
