Backcountry adventures Start a family tradition
Nowhere else in Victoria offers a true backcountry
experience fully supported by Ski Patrol services throughout
the snow season. Keen adventurers can head out alpine
touring and enjoy the trails winding their way to the Summit
and beyond, being rewarded with fresh tracks and sublime
views as far as the eye can see - all with the knowledge that
Ski Patrol are there if they’re needed. Always up for a chat
and to share local knowledge, visitors can drop in to see the
team and discuss the best place to head that day, fill out a
trip intention form and get the lowdown on snow conditions. There’s nothing better than seeing the smiles on their faces
when kids experience the snow for the first time. Mt Stirling
provides a perfect, quiet backdrop for a new experience that
will leave kids (and adults) full with the wonder of snow. If
