WHAT’S NEW
IN 2016
The team at Mt Buller has been busy
since last season - here’s what you
can look forward to this winter:
NEW DEVELOPMENTS
The old No 96 building on The Avenue has a stunning
new look for 2016 following a major redevelopment that
has converted the long-time staff accommodation into
8 x two and three bedroom prestige apartments
just a short walk down from the ABOM chairlift.
BETTER MOBILE SERVICE
Telstra has undertaken a series of projects to extend
the height of the mobile phone base station located in
the Mt Buller Village Square, raising it from 8 meters
to 16 meters to improve the network coverage at the
resort.
MORE SNOW
We’ve beefed up the snowmaking system even further
this winter with eleven new fully automatic DB6 snow
guns. This extends snowmaking to the bottom section
of The Chute and tops up coverage on key runs including
Wombat, Shakey Knees and Family Run.
Mt Buller boasts the largest snowmaking system in
Victoria boosting the snow cover across 71ha of key ski
runs with an automated network of 244 guns. We can
make a lot of snow. If we wanted to cover the MCG in
30cms of snow we could do it in about 2 hours with
our snowmaking system.

The extension has improved 3G coverage and with
the addition of 4G services, the base station can now
provide access to high speed wireless broadband to
all Telstra customers.
