THE LIVING BIN ORGANICS MANAGEMENT
SYSTEM
Mt Buller is home to a precious population of
endangered Mountain Pygmy-possums (Burramys
parvus) that is an ongoing high priority for protection.
In partnership with Buller Ski Lifts, Mt Buller Mt Stirling
Resort Management implements an innovative Recovery
Plan, to ensure long-term survival of the species on Mt
Buller. Management actions focus on on-ground habitat
restoration works, revegetation, predator control,
education and the implementation of highly successful
and novel translocation strategy.
