Congratulations to Noren, who accepted a WFH position after working with MSCCN’s Jenna Weakly for 3 months!
Hiring Challenge: It was difficult finding a job as I had no US based experience, and my previous work was specialized in the government field. I also was restricted geographically.
Assistance Received: Jenna was amazing and kept on top of things. She was always there to advise me, and encouraged me to sign up for all the trainings
she thought would benefit me She helped me search for jobs, and even found job openings for me to apply to. She would check over my resume when I would apply to the jobs and through her efforts made me more confident when applying.
Results: I found a job that met most of my needs and as an added bonus, it was a work from home position.
Value of Experience: It was wonderful to have someone there to help with the arduous journey of finding a job in a new place where I didn’t know very many people. The support and encouragement helped me gain confidence in what I was doing, and the skills I learned through the trainings are lifelong ones that I can take with me wherever we go.
