Seem off-topic for the MSEJ?
I promise it’s not.
First, good physical and mental health is important to our overall well-being, which is just plain helpful when you are looking for work. Once you have a job, it’s important to remember to make room for building a life, as well as a career.
Second, networking is truly one of the best ways to find work. Furthermore, networking happens at places other than job fairs, conferences, message boards, and the water cooler. Getting involved in a social organization can help you connect with others in your community. You might make a friend, you might make a contact, you might even have a good time in the process. So, get out there, and get connected.
