Dr. Khamis is currently an associate professor of Biostatistics and
Genetic Epidemiology at the Dubai College of Dental Medicine.
He has been an academic for over 26 years and has published 62
articles in scientific journals of international reputation. He published
his first book of Discrete Mathematics (2006).
Khamis worked as an associate Professor and senior researcher at
the Department of Family and Community medicine at the University
of Dammam in KSA between 2000 and 2014. He had served the
same position of Biostatistics and Genetic epidemiology at the
Department of Community Medicine at University of Khartoum,
Sudan (2003-2009). He is a member of the Ethical Research
Committee at DCDM. As a consultant with WHO, he travels
extensively on scientific missions and conducts research projects in
the most disturbed regions of Africa and Southeastern Asia.
