Sports By Ju Hoon Park Grace Her (8th) “Although we have many talented players in our team, Grace Her is considered the most noteworthy player, not only because of her talents, but also because of her attitude” says Sherry Bertschy, the JV girls basketball coach. Although it is her first year of basketball, Grace practices diligently and encourages her teammates. Grace supports the team with many assists, and even scores an average of six points per game, almost a third of the final team score. “She makes fast but controlled decisions.” says Kezia Surjadi, her teammate. “She’s the starting point guard and carries the team with her quick judgments followed by actions that lead to many fast-breaks” adds Sun Jin Lee. Grace Her is planning to hone her skills even more in her years left in MICS. Sun Jin Lee (10th) “The best thing about Sun Jin is that she is a very coachable player. She listens and encourages teammates even in a team full of encouragements. She scored the second most in the team this year. Sun is bright.” says Mr. Paul Beliasov, Mountainview Varsity girls coach. Sun Jin Lee, the starting post in Varsity girls’ Basketball team, has been playing basketball for four consecutive years, but she admits that she didn’t receive much playing time for the past three years. Eager to perform better in games, she always pursued new techni
