New Elementary School Teachers
Sherry Lea Ann Bertschy

Sherry Lea Ann Bertschy, a new 5th grade teacher, lived in
Missouri for her whole life before she came to Indonesia this year.
She taught 7th grade students for four years and then went to
discipleship school in Missouri as God directed her to serve there.
Then through Armored Outreach International, months ago, she
came to Indonesia and served as a short-term missionary till May.
This year, God specifically called her to work as a full-time
teacher in Mountainview. She loves Mountainview's communitycentered atmosphere and its endeavor for all students' academic
success. She is very happy that Mountainview people do not
forsake Jesus for Academics. One challenge she faces now is
remembering everything she has to do.
Becky Geary
Becky Geary, who used to be a 4th grade teacher at
Mountainview 6 years ago, came back to serve as a teacher once
again. Mrs. Geary and her husband have served Indonesia as
missionaries for 15 years in Kalimantan. There, her husband
worked at a local hospital while she homeschooled her children
and other neighboring children. They returned to Mountainview
this year for their son, Karl Geary, to finish his last high school
year. She is so thankful that Mountainview is a strong Christian
school, and that she can teach children from a Christian
perspective. Yet, her biggest challenge is missing her three other
children who live in the United States.
Jennifer Rimun
Jennifer Rimun, who worked as a teacher’s assistant for
Mountainview elementary school for two years, officially started her
career as a new 2nd grade teacher. Ms. Jennifer, who used to live in
Manado, went to Satya Wacana Christian University in Salatiga.
After receiving her undergraduate diploma, she worked at
Mountainview. She shared how adapting to a new role in the school
