ach month we at MotorPunk
update the membership of an
exclusive virtual motor club for
interesting motors that were in
production between 1983 and
1995. Now aged between 18
to 30 years old these modern
classics can often be seen in
convoy on our annual transcontinental jolly
known as CarClub 18-30. It’s a bit like the
Thomas Cook bonkathons of the same name,
but without the naked photographs that
linger on Facebook, or the wonky stitch-marks
courtesy of a Greek junior doctor following a
drunken moped pile-up.
This month we say hello to the Caterham 21
and auf wiedersehen to VW’s iconic Hot-Hatch,
the MK1 Golf GTI.
