Paul, my boyfriend, and I were spending the summer
in England after our travels around South America.
When I discovered this opportunity to get together
with a group of kindred spirits and enjoy a weekend
of two-wheeled fun, I knew right away I had to go. In
Chile, where I am from, finding girls who ride is very
hard and events like this don’t happen. So it was a
unique opportunity for me, not to be missed and the
Editor was all for it.
The only limitation facing me - and it was a big one -
was what bike I was going to use and what riding
gear. But where there is a problem, there is always a
solution! A few weeks earlier, I had visited a
Triumph dealer with Paul when he took his Tiger to
be serviced. Seeing a Street Twin parked up outside,
I jumped on and immediately fell in love with it. So
we contacted Triumph to get hold of a Street Twin
and they leant me one for a few days. It proved to
be the perfect bike for me; at only five foot and four
inches and used to riding smaller bikes, it was low
enough for me to feel completely confident; and the
900cc engine was just so smooth and easy to handle
through the twisting Welsh roads. Honestly, it was a
real struggle when I had to return it! I was also going
to wear in a set of Forma Boots, and Lindstrands had
a set of riding jeans I was keen to try out!
