o turn mundane travel into a memorable time, simply add a motorbike. It’s been that way ever
since Gottlieb Daimler first strapped a primitive piston between two wooden wheels and rattled
off into the history books.

ut what if you add two motorbikes? Does sharing the experience double the delight? Or will a
second rider, with different priorities and abilities, turn your trip of a lifetime into a trial of
tempers, your dream tour into a tragedy?

fter many thousands of miles and two extended tours riding as a couple, my wife Viv and I
have a few suggestions to offer. This is what works for us. Different riding agendas and
relationship dynamics may call for other ideas.
