In conditions like this the only thing you want to be worrying about is the road The Swedes are not an emotional people. But we are rather practical and very thorough, although perhaps at times a little on the serious side. When the folk here at Halvarssons put their heads together to design new motorcycle clothing, they don’t start out by choosing colour swatches for the fabric. All their energies and creativity go into producing gear that will protect the rider. A large part of that job, in our eyes, comes down to making the rider feel comfortable. If it’s 80 degrees in the shade, our aim is to cool him down. If it’s 10 degrees below, we try to keep him warm. And if the heavens open, we want to help him to stay dry. Of course, you guys in England may not know what it feels like to overheat on the bike but, from what we hear, you certainly know what it’s like to be cold and wet. Here in Sweden it can also get pretty cold and wet. And for six months of the year, our days are short and rather dark. We design all of our clothing to work in conditions just like this, so over there in the UK you can rest easy, because if it works in Scandinavia, you can be pretty confident that it’s going to work also where you come from. www.jofama.se 19/2/16 9:45 am
