conclusion An exceptionally well designed and extremely stylish retro Italian entry level Ducati. Packed with fun and grunt this bike will have you grinning from ear to ear on the twists and turns of the city. I can honestly understand why this bike has been a boost to the Ducati sales figures and inspires an almost cult following. That said it works well for what it was designed for – looking cool around town. The issue being that MEM looks to go much further than around town or doing the city commute in chic Italian style. For MEM she came up short in many of the key features of practical ability demanded by our readers. It’s a brave (or desperate for sponsorship) rider that chooses a Ducati Scrambler to head off into Africa or even head down from the UK to have a poke around the Balkans. But even with all the short comings as a globetrotter or even a weekend rally bike… I was sad that our couple of hour blasts around the Yorkshire Dales was over when the van took her away. All versions equipment Steel tank with interchangeable aluminium side panels, headlight with glass lens, LED light-guide and interchangeable aluminium cover, LED rear light with diffusive lens, LCD instruments with interchangeable aluminium cover, machine-finished aluminium belt covers, 18’’ front, 17’’ rear wheels, underseat storage compartment with USB socket
