Are you sitting comfortably?
I loved the seat and that’s a real bonus when you’re getting a bike that you intend to get some
serious miles out of and it’s rather low for this class of bike, making you feel grounded as well as
feeling very comfortable and secure in the saddle. It’s a split seat so the pillion section is lifted
from the rider section, that does limit the amount of bum shifting you can do on in saddle and
that would come into play on very long rides. Shifting position is vital to stop the pressure sores
that can build up and just suck the fun right out of a tour n explore fest. Aprilia have done the
wrong thing with the Caponord and given her a shitty plastic sump guard, rather than aluminium,
the extra cost would not have been that much but it just takes what was a ‘serious’ look to a ‘half
hearted’ poke at an explorer of all roads bike.
