Discovering Hue by Motorcycle / Bus
Originally we were touring Hue , but we changed the itinerary and are heading to Hoi An today , before Da Nang or the last day . Damn woke up at 2am covered in bites . Can ' t be the beds as Jazmin didn ' t get bitten . Must be in my clothes from yesterday ( had 1 or 2 bites then ). Grrrr . Showered , changed but couldn ' t get back to sleep until 440am . Up at 630am so today will feel long . I bought some non-drowsy anti-histamine from a pharmacy . Used google translate on the tablet to get the name right . Needn ’ t have bothered histamine being a medical word is the same . A strip of 8 tablets for VND100,000 ( AUD $ 6.50 ).
Before heading to Hoi An we did a slow ride around Hue this morning to see a few sights . Primarily around the old imperial city and palace .
Up the Hai Van pass to the pill boxes on top and then we take the maintenance track to the very top where the microwave tower is . The view of either side of the pass is fantastic . Even better riding it . Down slowly with Jazmin as she was getting tired from the really twisty road . From here into Da Nang to put on some washing at our hotel for tomorrow , before going through back roads to Hoi An .
