Review: lmg - achievable dream dvd box set Part 3 - On the Road! (2-DVD set, 5 hours 24 minutes) - This 2-disc set covers the how to ship the bike including demonstrations on how to build a packing crate, the day to day riding, finding somewhere to sleep, local languages and cultures, how to handle borders and the officials manning them, dealing with mechanical breakdowns, general safety and security, how to deal with emergencies, first aid, etc. - Part 4 - Ladies on the Loose! (2 hours 26 minutes) This DVD really isn’t aimed for me (as a man) so I think its better to quote the official writeup of the title from Horizons Unlimited: “Our globetrotting ladies share their tips to help you plan your own motorcycle adventure - choose and maintain a bike, decide what to take and tackle rough terrain. They also answer the women-only questions, and entertain you with amazing tales from the road! This inspirational and entertaining DVD is presented by Lois Pryce, veteran solo traveller through South America and Africa and author of 'Lois on the Loose', and 'Red Tape and White Knuckles'. Lois delivers action, entertainment and hot tips, as well as coverage of 'women only' topics. Austin Vince, of Terra Circa and Mondo Enduro fame, is her director and cameraman for this production. The DVD features eloquent and engaging well-travelled women motorcyclists such as Elspeth Beard (first British woman to ride around the world), Erin Ratay (Guinness World Record holder for longest team motorcycle ride), Patsy Quick (Dakar racer) and Mel Falconer (Trail Bike Magazine), who offer tales, advice and inspiration from the road.” - Part 5 - Tire Changing! (1 hour 30 minutes) I thought I knew how to change and/or fix a tire by the roadside until I watched this video. What Grant Johnson doesn’t know about getting tires on and off of wheels, plugging punctures, patching inner tubes, etc isn’t worth knowing. This DVD covers all of his knowledge gained from travelling the world. Having been to several of Grants workshop sessions on this subject at Horizon Unlimited events, I can say that this DVD is a must-have for anyone aiming to get out on the road.
