pushing myself fairly close to my limits, which in biker terms is not
that high a limit, I’d still consider myself quite a novice compared
to most. The adrenaline kicks in because you know if you come
off the bike and take a bad fall, your in really big trouble. Your
traveling alone in one of the most remote locations on Earth on an
utterly crap road, and as a result the risks are much greater. You
wont be just picking up the phone and calling an ambulance. I've
read a lot about bikers lamenting the fact that large sections of
the 40 are being paved, well let me tell you, the gravel and sand is
