perambulation showed up, everything from
pristine Beemer GS’s to humble c90’s and just
about everything in between. The stipulation
was no out and out Enduro bikes, as there are
plenty of events specifically for them already,
plus they’d be a piece of the proverbial to
navigate the green lanes of the Brecon
Beacons and beyond aboard.
Maps and instructions for the coming day were
duly issued, wrist bands and goody bags
handed out and still they came, right up until
1.00a.m., when the last hardy souls rocked up.
Saturday dawned a little nippy, but mercifully
dry, with little prospect of rain, surely this was a
sign from above! At first light, many could be
found busy with “sharpies” marking maps and
planning routes to take in all the waypoints,
while queueing for the ubiquitous breakfast
bap (which was gratis for competitors)
